We have been involved in Farming for all of our life. Sustaining to improve the quality of our produce, the health of our land and that of our livestock. We look at the soil and the entire farm as dynamic living organisms. We believe that healthy

to be the basic necessity if the soil is to be preserved for generations to come.

We strive to be self-sufficient and self-contained, avoiding any input from any outside sources. Family Farming to us is a balanced way of living, working and relating to All of the diversity and relationships in nature. Our vocation to agriculture is based on good, healthy and balanced common-sense practices. It may be best described in today’s terms as
BIODYNAMIC PERMACULTURE.

Black Rock Farm is also unique in location. Our land lies at
the highest elevation to the surrounding watershed. Our
springs being the source for the headwaters. It is for this
reason that our water and soil are ideal for farming.
